What Is The Children's Campaign?

In addition to helping the soldiers in Iraq, Afghanistan and Kuwait, Heartland Heroes Project Inc. views the children of Iraq and Afghanistan as the future of these countries.  We believe that every child should have the opportunity for an education and a chance at a better life, so we created the Children's Campaign.  In this campaign we address the needs of the children of these countries and hope to build a better relationship with the new Iraqi government and let them know that we care about their future.  We supply the children with the tools necessary to get an education.  Our hopes are that these children will pick up a pencil instead of a gun.

How We Do It

It would not be possible without the support of people like you.  Heartland Heroes Project Inc. relies on the businesses and communities to help us help them.  We hold Supply Drives to gather the necessary items and hold fundraisers to raise the money to cover the shipping of the items to the children and teachers of Iraq and Afghanistan.  We accept donations directly from the public of the items and money to help us also.

In addition to the school supplies, we also send stuffed animals and soccer balls to our contacts overseas that give it directly to the children of these countries.  Some of our contacts give the items to the Iraqi Police who work closely with the U.S. Military in these countries who also give it to the children to help build a relationship between the children and the new Iraqi Government. 

Many of these childrens lives have been turned upside down and they are scared and this helps them to understand that we are there to help and we care about their future.
